Join us and create a beautiful hard cover junk journal with a floral theme. You can see the sample journal at the shop. There is a jewelry embellishment on the front cover and it ties to close. Plenty of space to journal on pages and journal cards throughout and the last part of the journal is a signature of just journal pages. Make this for yourself or gift to someone you cherish.
Workshop is held at a residential studio just past Evergreen Lake. All materials, instruction and inspiration provided. If you have a special item to include and/or want to bring a jewelry item for the cover, please do. You only need to bring a spill proof beverage, and you can bring a snack if you'd like.
During the workshop you will complete the foundation of the journal (front and back covers and all pages/signatures). Additionally you will embellish pages using learned techniques. You most likely will not finish, as a journal like this is not completed in 5 1/2 hours, even when all the materials are at hand. You will take the balance of the kit with you and enjoy the process. Workshop attendees comment they appreciate not having to finish as they enjoy the process so much they prefer not to rush through it.
Workshops are non-refundable. If you cannot attend after registering let us know and we will help to try to find a replacement, or you can send a friend in your place. One small dog may be present and use of stairs is required.
Private workshops are available, so if you have 4-6 friends interested in a workshop please email Brenda at info@sugarjones.net with a few dates that work. Various workshops are available, so let us know your area of interest. Also if you have interest in mixed media workshops and are not on this specific email list, email us at info@sugarjones.net and ask to be added.
Instruction is provided by Brenda who is a mixed media artist who shows at juried shows, donates to Evergreen Center of the Arts and is a volunteer docent for the center's Memory Loss Program.
